records, which does not indicate from which paper it was obtained, reads
as follows:
"HUXFORD Mr. Benjamin H. Huxford - A native of North Carolina, a resident of Fairhope, Ala. for several years died Sunday, September 29, 1974 at 2 a.m. at a Fairhope hospital. He owned a sportsman store in Fairhope for several years and one time owner of Huxford Oil Company, Mobile, and one time owner of the Mobile Shippers. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, a Mason, a member of the American Legion, a member of the Yacht Club and former member of the Fairhope Rotary Club. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Berdella E. Huxford, Fairhope, Ala.; mother, Mrs. Clara Huxford, Mobile, Ala.; one brother, C.C. Huxford, Jr., Brewton, Ala.; four sisters, Mrs. John B. Gray, Wilson, North Carolina, Mrs. Luveta Gramling, Mobile, Ala., Mrs. Melvin Toenes, Macon, Miss., Mrs. Phoebe Gallagher, Mobile, Ala., several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be Tuesday, Oct. 1, 1974 at 10:30 a.m. at Pine Crest Cemetery, Mobile, Ala. Visitation will be Monday, Sept. 30, 1974 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral arrangements by Fairhope Chapel, Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope, Ala." |
