Courier, Charlston, S.C., Wednesday morning, Jan 25, 1933:
Mrs. Mary Huxford, 77 Dies at St. Stephen After Long Illness St. Stephen, Jan 24: Special services for Mrs. Mary Platt Huxford, 77, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H.K. Russell, early Sunday morning, were held at the Episcopal cemetery at 11 o'clock Monday morning and conducted by the Rev. Mr. Everheart, pastor of the Christian church in Charleston. Mrs. Huxford's death followed a serious illness of several weeks. She has made her home with her daughter here for the past two years. She possessed an unusually sweet disposition, which made and held friends. Mrs. Huxford is survived by three daughters, Mrs. H.K. Russell, St. Stephen; Mrs. Edith Conger and Mrs. Cecil Orvin of Moultrie, GA and two sons; C.C. Huxford, Mobile, AL and J.O. Huxford, Perry, FL. |
